When the concept of a coffee shop was introduced in Europe, the ideology of a third space was created where people of different classes could interact in the same space. Our vision is to create that same ideology where a third space could be created for cultural inclusivity, where each individual feels important because everything is made with the customer in mind.
We don’t just want to serve Coffee but introduce a lifestyle of Coffee.

WHO IS OLD SHOOL COFFEE?
1904 Old School Coffee Company (OSC) is a fully black owned company which was founded in 2016 and initially operated for 1 year doing markets across Gauteng over weekends. Subsequently we have opened a shop in Newtown and Braamfontein, Johannesburg.
Our aim is to expose individuals who wouldn’t normally be exposed to artisanal coffee.
Our passion for coffee started from our local church which we are a part of. They got a machine a few years back and they needed people to operate it. We took it upon ourselves to learn the art of coffee and as a result we quickly learned that coffee is not just about making the perfect cup, it goes beyond that. It is also about creating an experience, connecting people and can become a lifestyle.
Our motto is “We love God, We love People and We love Coffee” and that is central to who we are.

UGANDA SIPI FALLS
An exquisite coffee that renders a sweet and juicy cup bursting with elegant and lush flavours. The coffee from this micro region features a full body, sweet and rich flavour which is a different profile from any other African regions.
COLOMBIA
Featuring a mellow acidity and prominent caramel sweetness with nutty undertones. The coffee produces a medium-bodied, sweet cup.
BRAZIL
Featuring a relatively low acidity while delivering a sweet nutty flavour with chocolatey roast taste notes. This coffee will deliver a smooth and balanced cup.
